in Staff Development - Students come to school at 930 on Thursdays.

- With all teachers involved in Extended
Professional Learning Time meetings, students
arriving to campus prior to first period on
Thursday will have an opportunity to utilize some
or all of the following supervised resources as
established by the campus - Commons/Study Time
- College and Career Center Resources
- Assignment/Test make-up
12Transportation, Breakfast and Average Daily
Attendance (ADA)
- SISD will run its standard bus route on Thursday
mornings at a delayed time for high school
students only. Students who walk, drive or
receive rides to school need to arrive prior to
their first period class (945) - Breakfast will be available to students. Child
Nutrition will investigate quick grab and go
breakfasts on Thursday morning - ADA would be captured at 1000 on Thursday
morning - No additional costs required for implementation
13Dress for Success
- Proposal
- A standard for professional dress
- Prepares students for career/college
- CTE advisory board/community business support
- Many colleges are requiring professional dress
- Helps to promote positive attitude/self-esteem
which then positively impacts discipline
14What does it look like?
- Black or Khaki slacks/skirts with belt
- Green, black or white collared shirt with white
undershirt - Jeans and SHS spirit shirt or college shirt on
Fridays - Jackets may not have hoods
- Spirit/dress up days will continue
