Who is the Good Shepherd?

•  "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays
  down his life for the sheep. The hired hand is
  not the shepherd who owns the sheep. So when he
  sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and
  runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and
  scatters it. The man runs away because he is a
  hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. "I am
  the good shepherd I know my sheep and my sheep
  know mejust as the Father knows me and I know
  the Fatherand I lay down my life for the sheep.

• A Lutheran is a Christian with a lot of history!

• The Bible - is the divinely inspired Word of God.
  It doesnt merely contain Gods Word it is
  Gods Word. Our life is shaped by it, not the
  other way around.

• Jesus Christ - He is God. He came to live a
  perfect life, to die in our place, and rise again
  on Easter Sunday. He has paid the full price for
  our sins.

• Grace - Gods free gift of salvation. There is
  nothing that we can do to earn or merit this
  gift.
• But because of his great love for us, God, who is
  rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even
  when we were dead in transgressionsit is by
  grace you have been saved. And God raised us up
  with Christ and seated us with him in the
  heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in
  the coming ages he might show the incomparable
  riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to
  us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have
  been saved, through faithand this not from
  yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works,
  so that no one can boast.

• Faith - the Holy Spirit works faith in our hearts
  through Gods Word. It is this faith in the grace
  of God that makes us right with him.
• And we also thank God continually because, when
  you received the word of God, which you heard
  from us, you accepted it not as the word of men,
  but as it actually is, the word of God, which is
  at work in you who believe. I Thess 213
• The man without the Spirit does not accept the
  things that come from the Spirit of God, for they
  are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand
  them, because they are spiritually discerned. I
  Cor. 214
• Therefore I tell you that no one who is speaking
  by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus be cursed," and
  no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the
  Holy Spirit. I Cor. 123

What is GSLS like?

• The families
• Our families come from 16 different congregations
  and 7 communities in Mid-Missouri.
• Many families have more than one child enrolled.

• All of our full time, and most of our part time
  teachers have teaching degrees from an accredited
  university and a state teaching certificate.
  Together we have over 98 years of teaching
  experience.

• Kindergarten full or half day
• School hours are 800 to 330

Total ministry

• All six organizations exist to help each person
  grow in their understanding of Gods Word and in
  their relationship with Jesus Christ. Naturally
  part of this is to have them continue to expand
  their ministries. They are open to all. If you
