How much experience does my child need?
Our goal is to work with athletes of all
abilities.
We will start with the very basics, and will
progress steadily towards the first race in
March.
There are No Tryouts! Anyone who wants to ride
can join the club.

Is participation dangerous?
This is not X-Games or free-riding
Racing speeds average around 8mph
Dirt is softer than asphalt no cars
Helmets are ALWAYS mandatory
We will discourage risky behavior
Accidents can, and may, happen
Coaches will be on every ride and will have a
first aid kit and cell phone

Time Commitment
Two club rides a week
4 League races beginning in March and ending in
May
The club will NOT be providing transportation, so
the families will need to be involved as well
Races are in Southern California, but may be 2 to
3 hours away

Cost
Team Registrations - 100 (Due by February 1st)
Includes Team jersey and shorts, league
membership, insurance, and incidental expenses.
Individual Rider Registration - 45 per Rider
Race entry fee - 35 each
It is our goal that no student be denied
participation due to a lack of resources.
Scholarships equipment are available.

g red light Mountain Bike Clipless pedals and
shoes Gloves and eye protection Cycling shorts
One team uniform Wind breaker, leg warmers, a
rm warmers

Committed to safety
Athletes who repeatedly engage in risky behavior
will be dropped from the club
We are visible representatives of
Corona Del Mar HS
Any athlete caught riding without a helmet will
be removed from the team

team.
CDM Athletics form needs to be filled out and on
file with the athletics department.
SoCal League waiver.
Forms are available on the SoCal website.
Must have back all forms before first ride on
Saturday, 1/24/09.

2/7/09 All Day Riders Camp, Held at
Frank G. Bonelli Park San Dimas, CA
3/8/09 - First League Race will be held in
Temecula.

- March 8th - Vail Lake, Temecula
- March 22nd - Warner Ranch, Idyllwild
- April 5th - Lake Arrowhead
- May 3rd - Santa Ynez, Santa Barbara
- May 22nd - State Championships in
- Northern California!
Note that only the top 2 teams and the top 10
riders from each division will be eligible to
compete in the State Championships.
