2Itinerary of Visage de la France
- 1-2 FLY TO PARIS. Fly overnight to Europe. Begin
exploring the bustling capital of France.
- 3 DISCOVER PARIS. With a local guide, behold
famous sights, including the Arc de Triomphe, the
Eiffel Tower, the sweeping Champs-Elysées, and
Les Invalides. Tour Notre Dame Cathedral.
3- 4 VERSAILLES. Picture the flow of royalty through
Louis XIVs Palace of Versailles. See the Hall of
Mirrors, the royal apartments and the gardens.
Seize the Château! This afternoon, explore the
expanse of the Louvre Museum.
4- 5 NORMANDY. Journey to the Normandy beaches,
battleground of World War IIs D-day. Visit the
Memorial Museum of the Battle of Normandy and the
American Military Cemetery. Be amazed by
Soldiers Stories. Continue to the St. Malo area.
5- 6 MONT ST. MICHEL. While on the Breton Coast,
visit Le Mont St. Michel, the monastery on its
own private island. Continue to the Loire
Valley. - 7 LOIRE CHATEAUX. Compare the grace of Chenonceau
and the protective battlements of Amboise. See
Clos Lucé. Journey through the vineyards of the
Loire Valley, and visit an authentic French wine
cave. Bon Appetit!
6- 8 TGVGENEVA. En route to Paris, visit the
magnificent Gothic cathedral of Chartres. Board
the TGV and speed south to Geneva in
Switzerland.9 CHÂTEAU CHILLONGRUYÈRESMONTREUX.
Today, tour the chic mountain resort of Montreux,
the cheese-making town of Gruyères, and Château
Chillon, an awe-inspiring eleventh century
castle. Opt for a Swiss fondue dinner this
evening.
7- 10 AVIGNON-PONT DU GARD. Travel to Avignon. Enjoy
Painters Provence. Stroll the streets and view
the Pont St. Benezet. See the awesome Roman
aqueduct, the Pont du Gard.11 NIMES. Marvel at
the Roman buildings of Nimes the Maison Carrée
(Square House), the Tour Magne, and the Roman
arena. En Garde!
8- 12 LES BAUX. En route to Nice visit the fortress
of Les Baux. Enjoy an evening walking tour with
your NETC Tour Director.13 MONACOEZE. An
excursion to Monaco and Eze, highlights the
Palace of Prince Rainier, the Casino de Monte
Carlo, and the Cathedrale de Monaco, where
actress/princess Grace Kelly is buried. Visit the
charming perched village of Eze. Opt to distill
your own a fragrance in Making Scents!
9- 14 Final free day in Nice.

13Passports
- A passport is required
- Generally takes about 6 weeks

14Rooming
- Students will be grouped 2 or 3 to a room,
depending on the hotel
- Absolutely NO sneaking out of the rooms after
hours will be tolerated grounds for your
student to be sent home early at your expense
15What if there is an Emergency?
- Our NETC Tour Director is with the group from
when we arrive at the airport until we fly out at
the end. Not only does s/he provide the
educational content of the tour, but s/he is also
trained to respond to emergency situations. - NETC has 24-hour emergency coverage in France and
in the U.S., as well as a fully trained crisis
response team. Our insurance company, ACE,
provides access to worldwide medical assistance.
