Greek Influences
  • Greeks had settled Sicily and Southern Italy
    (Magna Graecia) since ca. 780 BCE)
  • Influenced by both Etruscans and Greeks through
    trade, diplomacy, and warfare (i.e. art and
    architecture hoplite warfare anthropomorphized
    gods writing myth and literature)
