  • I Peter 315

ready always to give an answer to every man that
asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you
    with meekness and fear (KJV)
  • Hebrews 111
  • Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen. (KJV)

7
Foundational Scripture Why Study The Creation?
  • II Timothy 215
  • Study to show thyself approved unto God, a
workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly
dividing the word of truth. (KJV)

8
Foundational Scripture Why Study The Creation?
  • Romans 120
  • For the invisible things of him from the
creation of the world are clearly seen, being
understood by the things that are made, even his
eternal power and Godhead so that they are
    without excuse (KJV)

9
Foundational Scripture Why Study The Creation?
  • II Timothy 316-17
  • All Scripture is given by inspiration of God,
and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for
    correction, for instruction in righteousness
    (KJV)

10
Psalm 113If the foundations be destroyed, what
can the righteous do? (KJV)
11
Foundational Scripture Why Study The Creation?
  • Deuteronomy 66-9

    shall be in thine heart
  • 7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy
children, and shalt talk of them when thou

the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou
    risest up.
  • 8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine
hand, and they shall be as frontlets between

Definitions
  • Microevolution, The Special Theory of Evolution
  • Evolving within a kind or group
  • Never crosses phylogenetic boundaries
  • Is accepted to be true by both Evolutionists and
Creationists since it is repeatable and
    observable
  • Change characteristics like color, spotting, etc.

14
Microevolution, The Special Theory of Evolution
  • Examples
  • Cockapoo dog Cocker Spaniel Poodle
  • 1300 rose species now exist which did not at turn
    of century
  • Charolais cattle years of genetic research and
    breeding programs

15
Definitions
  • The General Theory of Evolution, Macroevolution,
Organic Evolution, Atheistic Evolution, or simply
    Evolution

16
Definitions - Evolution
  • All the living forms in the world have arisen
from a single source which itself came from an
    inorganic form

17
Definitions - Evolution
  • The universe came about by purely naturalistic
processes. Life began as a chance combination of
non-living chemicals, and all things today
developed from one-celled creatures which over
millions of years gradually changed into the
fish, reptiles, birds and mammals in todays
    world.

18
The Evolution Model
  • Will never be proven as scientific fact since
    facts require repeatable, observable events/data.
    No one witnessed evolution.
  • Seeks to explain the origin of universe and man
    without God
  • Requires faith since cannot be proven (Hebrews
    111) based on available evidence

19
The Creation Model
  • Seeks to explain the origin of universe and man
based on science which is harmonious with the
Bible (all good science does harmonize with the
    Bible)

20
The Creation Model
  • Will never be proven as scientific fact since
    facts require repeatable, observable events
/data. No human witnessed the Creation.
However, Christ was the Creator and He recorded
    many things about the creation.

21
The Creation Model
  • Requires faith since cannot be proven
scientifically (Hebrews 111) based on available
evidence. Which model, Evolution or Creation,
better fits the available evidence? Creation!

22
The Creation Model
  • Accounts for (among others)
  • Origin of the Universe and all life
  • The long age of men in Genesis
  • Origin of races
  • Origin of languages
  • Existence of fossils
  • Positioning of fossils within the geological
    strata

23
The Creation Model
  • Accounts for (among others) cont.
  • Geological strata itself
  • Presence of man and animals on every continent
  • Demise of the dinosaurs
  • Apparent vs. actual age of the earth
  • Existence of great coal, natural gas, and oil
    beds of the world

24
The Creation Week
  • Seven Days

Everlasting
  • Has a beginning, but no end
  • Mans soul is everlasting

27
Eternal
  • Has no beginning, and no end
  • God is eternal, outside of time

28
Finite
  • Has both a beginning and an end
  • Mans life is finite

29
