  • There are four types of noun
  • Common an object you can see or touch, e.g. pen,
    table, car.
  • Abstract thoughts, ideas, qualities or emotion,
    e.g. peace, anger, truth.
  • Collective one word indicating a collection of
    people or objects, e.g. group, herd, queue.

  • An adjective (underlined) is a describing word.
    It tells us what a noun is like
