2Michael Harrington, a former police officer,
worked for the New York Police Department from
2002 to 2009. Along with serving and protecting
the people of New York, he handled various other
police duties responsibly. The New York Police
Department is one of the oldest police
departments in the United States and was
established in 1845. Being the largest municipal
police department, the NYPD is responsible for
law enforcement and investigation. The NYPD deals
with various services such as harbor patrol,
anti-terrorism, bomb disposal, criminal
intelligence, anti-gang, narcotics, air support,
public housing and public transportation. The
department aims at enforcing the laws, reducing
fear, providing for a safe environment, and
preserving the peace. Michael Harrington
fulfilled all duties as a police officer such as
deterring crime, writing summons, making arrests,
and others.
3Michael Harrington qualified to be a police
officer. He achieved his education from John Jay
College, New York. He studied Criminal Justice
and received a Bachelors of science in 2008. He
graduated Magna Cum Laude with a 3.63 GPA. The
John Jay College of Criminal Justice is a
prestigious college in Midtown Manhattan, New
York City. The college was founded in 1964 and
named after John Jay who was the first Chief
Justice of the United States Supreme Court and
served as Governor of New York State. The college
is popular among students for its programs in
Criminal Justice studies, Forensic Science, and
Forensic Psychology programs. Michael also
attended Drake Business School for an Executive
Business Diploma. He studies Word processing and
Accounting during this one-year course. He also
did a six-month course in Accounting and Word
processing from American Business Institute which
is situated in New York.
4Michael Harrington had varied work experiences
before becoming a police officer. He worked for
education departments and institutes and handled
admissions. He specializes in education sales and
helped his employers have more enrollments. He
also worked as sales supervisor and a
representative for various companies. The
