How a Light Bulb Works

• First, you turn on the lamp.
• Next, the electricity goes through the wires
• to the filament.
• After that, the filament heats up white hot and
  the electricity inside glows.
• Finally, thats how a light bulb works.

The Great Inventor

• Edison didnt invent the first electric light
  bulb.
• But he did make the first incandescent lamp and
  the first indoor lighting system.
• Thomas Edison was born in 1847 and he was 85 when
  he died in 1931.
• He took a lot of naps and when he woke up he
  could think better.

Life Without the Light Bulb

• If we didnt have the light bulb we would not be
  able to see at night without a candle.
• It would be darker because candles are not as
  bright as light bulbs.
• You can not decide how bright you want a candle
  to be but you can decide how bright you want a
  light bulb to be.
