PTS Funding for FY 2009
  • LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE 2009 If evaluations
    support, will plan for September 2009, east of
    mountains. Need suggestions for speakers,
    topics.
  • SPECIALIZED TRAINING Funded training with WASPC
    FMCSA on obtaining MCSAP grants.
  • Let me know about special training needs.
  • EQUIPMENT Funding for traffic equipment.
  • Apply to WASPC first (www.waspc.org).
    Applications usually due by mid-December. Grants
    given in Jan.
  • Cannot fund stop-stix.
  • Will fund trinkets for special projects.

Speeding Project Funding for FY2009
  • X-52. Year long, DUI speeding
    multi-jurisdictional patrols. Participating
    agencies should be working with their task force
    coordinators to complete paperwork.
  • Targeted high-collision area patrols. Agencies
    to be selected by WTSC based upon data for
    high-visibility, frequent patrols.
  • Motorcycle safety patrols. Centered around MC
    rallies. Two pilot projects this summer.

    projects based upon specific problems. Usually
    low cost. Examples of FY 2008 funded projects
