4STUDENT is Responsible For Their Student Account
- Opportunity to learn financial responsibility
- FERPA (Family Educational Rights Privacy Act)
requires release of information to be authorized
by the student - Student can authorize parents/legal guardian to
talk with WWU staff about the students account
if Release of Financial Information form is
signed - Student can designate parents/legal guardian as
Authorized Payer through QuikPAY
Experience is the best teacher, but the tuition
is much too high."
5How is Student Notified of Student Account
Activity?
- Student must activate their official WWU e-mail
account - Student receives monthly e-mail notification
(between 20th and 25th) that the monthly
statement (E-bill) is available on-line. - Student Account charges are available online
10-14 days before quarter start - Student Account is updated with new charges as
they occur throughout the quarter - Student may authorize the email notification to
be forwarded to a secondary email address (e.g.
parent/legal guardian)
6E-Billand QuikPAY
- QuikPAY electronic billing and payment system is
the official means of generating bills to all
students - WWU does not mail out paper bills - QuikPAY allows students to view monthly billing
statements and on-going charges - QuikPAY must be viewed regularly to ensure
miscellaneous charges (e.g., Health Center fees)
are paid in a timely manner
7How is the Student Account Accessed On-line ?
- Students enter QuikPAY through Web4u portal
- Authorized Payers (set up by student in QuikPay)
enter QuikPAY through - Pay, Tuition,
Housing and Fees link on main WWU site and then
click on Authorized Payer logon.

8How Can Payment Be Made?
- In person Old Main (OM245) or Edens Hall
(EH100) - Cash, Check, Visa/MasterCard Debit Card
- Mail Checks only, payable to WWU
- On-line via QuikPAY, available 24/7 with
immediate update to the student account - Electronic Check (E-check) No Fee
- Credit Cards American Express, Discover, or
MasterCard - 2.75 convenience fee - Financial Aid
9When is Payment Due?
- Tuition, fees, room and board are
- due the first day of classes each quarter
(September 26 for Fall Quarter)
75 late fee and 1 interest charge will apply
to unpaid account balances.
Deadlines and Important Dates are available on
Student Account and Registrar websites
10When is Financial Aid Other Financial Support
Available?
- Financial Aid that is authorized will apply to
charges on the Student Account on the first day
of class - Financial Aid will not pay miscellaneous charges
(i.e., health services, late fees, athletic fees,
etc) UNLESS the student completes the
Authorization For Misc. Charges (pink) form - Excess Financial Aid is available second day of
class (as credit on student account) - Recommend Direct Deposit to bank account -
student must complete the green EFT form!

- Aid and other support must be accepted by the
student in order to be disbursed - Promissory Note must be returned by Sept 15th
- Student must be enrolled full time (12 or more
credits) - Excess Financial Aid resulting from PLUS loan
pays to Parent, not Student - For Private loans, student will be notified by
email from WWU when is available
12University Cashier
- Accepts payments on student account
- Cashes personal checks (100 or less, .50 fee)
- Distributes private loan checks
- Distributes student payroll checks
- Can cash if 500 or less (.50 fee)
- Recommend Direct Deposit no waiting in line!!
