Marco Polo

• Marco Polo was brought to this world in 1254
  
• His real name was Marco Polo
• He was raised by aunt, uncle and his dad
• In 1271 he went on his first trip to China
• He was famous for his explorations through
  central Asia and China
• He passed away in 1324

Christopher Columbus

• Christopher Columbus was born in 1451.
• He was married in 1479.
• Columbus had two brothers.
• Christopher was the oldest of five children.
• His real name was Christoforo Colombo also known
  as Cristobel Colon.
• Famous for discovering the new lands North
  ,South America.

• He believed the world was round not flat
• Columbus sailed on his ships the Nina, the Pinta
  and the Santa Maria
• He Wanted to prove his theory that the world was
  round
• Christopher landed in north America but thought
  he had landed in Asia
• Columbus called these people indians because he
  thought he was in the country of India
• Columbus died on may 20th 1506

Hernando Cortez

• Born in the town of Medallion, Spain in 1485.
• When he was 18 he sailed to the islands of
  Hispaniola.
• Cortez was the mayor -judge of Santiago.
• He was famous for taking over most of México .
• Passed away 1521

Amerigo Vespucci

• He was born in the town of Florence, Italy March
  18th 1506
• His real name was Amerigo Vespucci
• He had an interest in astronomy .
• Discovered that the new continent was not Asia .
• Had two continents named after him.
• The name of the person that named the new land we
  know as north America was Martin Waldseemuller.
• He died in1512.
