  joined in prayers for the health of the Pope, who
  was admitted to hospital in Rome on Tuesday with

  84-year-old pontiffs condition had stabilised
  but that he would remain in hospital for the time
  being. It stressed that the Pope had never lost
  consciousness.
• Comment
• Only 3 days before the Pope was rushed into
  hospital the Vatican released statistics showing
  that the number of Catholics worldwide had
  reached 1.086 billion. As the head of this false
  religion we take interest in the Pope. It is a
  religion singled out in Revelation and called a
  harlot with BABYLON written on her head.
  Babylon came to an end in circa 542BC. In Daniel
  4 we are told that a tree (representing Babylon)
  would be cut down, but just as Nebuchadnezzar
  regained his kingdom again so too would Babylon
  reappear on the earth after 7 times had passed. 7
  times 2520 years. (360 x 7). In 1978 (2520
  years after the fall of Babylon) the current Pope
  came to power. He is the most Marian Pope in
  history and has encouraged more than any other
  the worship of Mary. The worship of the mother
  and child goes back to Babel.

Protestants increasingly worship Mary

  starting to now. In a shift whose ideological
  
  breadth is unusual in the fragmented Protestant
  world, a long-standing wall around Mary appears

  converting to Catholicism's dramatic exaltation
  the singing of Salve Regina, the Rosary's Marian
  Mysteries, the entreaty to her in the Hail Mary
  to "pray for us sinners now and at the hour of
  our death." Rather, a growing number of Christian
  thinkers who are neither Catholic nor Eastern
  Orthodox have concluded that their various
  traditions have shortchanged her.

• The worship of Mary as Mother of God and Queen of
  Heaven is a fundamental part of Catholic doctrine
  and goes back to the worship in Babylon (and
  before that Babel) of Semiramis (Nimrods wife).
  She was worshipped as a goddess and was believed
  to have had a child who was in Nimrod
  reincarnated hence the pictures of the mother
  and child. This false god was adopted into
  Catholic teaching and now appears to be a growing
  icon in the Protestant religions as well. It is a

  to him. Presidents and prime ministers,

  queens were here to pay homage to a remarkable
  pope. And there were millions more mourners, who
  helped to make this the biggest funeral in
  history.
• Comment
• The largest funeral in history. How true the
  words are in Revelation 17. The great whore does
  indeed sit upon many waters. Isaiah 1713 says
  The nations shall rush like the rushing of many
  waters. The inhabitants have indeed been made
  drunk with the wine of her fornication. Millions
  have been indoctrinated by her lies and deceit.
• The great whore (awful language for an awful
  institution), is of course the woman sat on the
  beast. The woman is a false religion. We are the
  virgin bride (Eph 531,32) waiting to wed our
  Lord Jesus when he returns (the Bridegroom). We
  keep ourselves separate from the false religions
  of the world. This religion though is a
  prostitute. It has not kept itself separate from
  the world it has indulged in the ways of the
  world. We know it is Rome because we are clearly
  told that the woman sits on 7 hills.

Pope - 1978

• Karol Wojtyla was an unexpected choice for pope
  when he was elected in
  1978, aged 58. He was the first
  non-Italian for 450 years and was
  seen as an outsider
  for the job. He took the name John Paul II.
• Comment
• The fact the Pope John Paul II came to power in
  1978 is very significant. It was the beginning of
  the revival of spiritual Babylon on the earth.
  Why do I say that? In Daniel 4 we read that
  Nebuchadnezzar had a vision about a tree that was
  to be cut down and remain as a stump. We know it
  referred to Nebuchadnezzar himself losing his
  kingdom and becoming like a beast. But just as
  the stump remained so his kingdom would be his
  again after 7 times had passed over him. HOWEVER.
  This vision did not just apply to him but also to
  his dominion ie his kingdom Babylon. He acted out
  what was to happen literally. The kingdom of
  Babylon came to an end in 542BC. 7 times 360 x
  7 2520 years. 7 times went by and then just as
  Neb got his kingdom back so we see Babylon
  revived again on the earth. 2520 years later
  Babylon did revive in all aspects. In 1978
  (2520 after the fall of Babylon) Pope John Paul
  II was elected and the religious aspect of
  Babylon revived. See next slide.

• The most Marian Pope in history. He revived more
  than any other the worship of Mary. The worship
  of mother and god incarnate son goes back to
  Babylon and then back to Babel. In Babel the
  people worshipped Nimrod (Baal) and his wife
  Semiramis (Baalti). Baal My Lord / Baalti My
  Lady. Nimrod died and later Semiramis had a son
  who she said was Nimrod reincarnated and so they

  the Holy See.He said the preamble of the pact
  signed by Palestine Liberation Organization
  leader Yasser Arafat and the Pope, as well as the
  section dealing with Jerusalem were "not

• The Pope made a covenant with Arafat over
  Jerusalem in February 2000. It called Israels
  occupation of Jerusalem morally and legally
  unacceptable and backed in effect Palestinian
  claims for Jerusalem. This covenant was extremely
  significant in my opinion. It came only weeks
  before the Popes visit to Jerusalem and the
  Temple Mount. This visit to the Temple Mount in
  March 2000 may well be a fulfilment of Matthew 24
  where we read that an abomination would stand in
  the holy place. His religion is associated with
  abominations. Then in July 2000 talks over
  Jerusalem at Camp David collapsed bringing the
  current intifada and a time of trouble / terror.

• Pope John Paul II has been instrumental in
  developing the house being planned for Europe.
  Europe (the beast in Rev 17) is the political
  side to Babylon. The woman (the Papacy rides the
  beast). It was the Popes influence that bought
  about the collapse of communism and therefore the
  uniting of Europe. It was Gorbachev himself who
  acknowledged publicly the role of John Paul II in
  the fall of Communism. "What has happened in
  Eastern Europe in recent years would not have
  been possible without the presence of this Pope,
  without the great role even political that he has
  played on the world scene" (quoted in La Stampa,
  March 3, 1992). We have therefore seen how this
  Roman religion continues to influence the
  European empire that is being created and whoever
  takes on the mantle after John Paul will also do
  the same.

• The kings of the earth have indeed committed
  fornication with this false religion. Never have
  so many world leaders and literal kings gathered
  than at the funeral service of this man. But as
  the headlines above tell us it was not just in
  his death but also while he was alive. And not
  just political leaders but religious as well. The
  chief rabbis, the head of the Church of England,
  Muslim leaders have all bowed before this man.
  Romes false religion is based on the works of
  the flesh. Spiritual fornication, uncleanness,

The death of Protestant Britain

• Who would have thought the death of Rome's
  supreme pontiff would interfere with the marriage
  plans of the next Supreme Governor of the Church
  of England? Until now, the royal family, prime
  minister and the whole establishment - defined by
  the 1701 Act of Settlement's ban on anyone
  "reconciled to the bishop of Rome" - would always
  have put an English wedding ahead of any Roman
  funeral.

• I would agree Britain as a Protestant country
  is indeed dead or at the very least nearly dead.
  Let us not forget that we as Christadelphians are
  in effect protestants. A protestant being by
  definition are Christians who have separated
  themselves from Rome excepting the Bible as their
  only authority. Catholics accept the Pope as
  their authority. The reason we have our English
  Bible is because of the Reformation that occurred
  in Britain in the 15th century. Next time you
  open your AV Bible look at the very first page
  the translators talk of the man of sin and also
  the fact that we should beware of Popish persons
  who want to keep us in ignorance and darkness.

  unity".
• He also sent greetings to the Jewish people who
  he said shared a joint spiritual heritage with
  Christians. "Like a wave gathering force, my
  thoughts go out to all men and women of today, to
  believers and non-believers alike," he said,
  addressing the crowd of 350,000 people gathered
  for the open-air service in front of St Peter's
  Basilica.
• Europe was reminded of its Christian roots
  yesterday by Pope Benedict XVI when he held his
  first general audience, confirming speculation
  that the defence of the Continents Christian
  culture in the face of aggressive secularism
  will be one of the central themes of his papacy.
  Explaining his choice of name, the Pope said that
  it recalled Pope Benedict XV who was pontiff
  during the First World War. He was a courageous

• There are many things we could say in relation to
  the remarkable election of this particular Pope.
  Christian unity is the over riding theme so far.
  But do not be taken in. This is not true unity
  he means other religions accepting Rome as the
  mother church. In other words the head of all
  religions. This is what is meant by unity. In
  Milestones 2000, Bro Don Pearce reported that
  Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, prefect for the
  Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, wrote
  to all Bishops' conferences to address misuse of
  the phrase "sister churches" in the ecumenical
  dialogueasserting the Catholic Church's unique
  identity as "mother" of all Christian Churches.
  In Milestones 1986 we read "Cardinal Joseph
  Ratzinger, who is Prefect of the Vatican's
  watchdog on faith and morals, presented the
  document 'Christian Freedom and Liberation' on
  Saturday. He said the Catholic church 'cannot
  exclude in certain circumstances that violence
  can be the path to liberation'
• The Pope said at his inauguration "Like a wave
  gathering force, my thoughts go out to all men
  and women of today. There is only one thing a
  wave does and that is destroy. Tides clean,
  waves destroy. They break down defences, they
  destroy over time even the most substantial of
  barriers. We saw the power of a wave last
  December and the destruction it can bring. The
  Popes thoughts do indeed go out like a wave.

• At the age of 14, he joined the Hitler Youth, as

  was not an enthusiastic member.
• As Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, he headed the
  Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, a
  Vatican department founded in 1542, when it was
  known as the Holy Inquisition.
• Set up to counter the spread of Protestantism, it
  interrogated suspected heretics and drew up lists
  of banned books, including works by Calvin and
  Luther.
• The first clue about any pope's intentions is his
  choice of name.
• Cardinal Ratzinger could have called himself John
  Paul III. It would have been seen as a statement
  that he intended to continue the work of his
  mentor.
• Instead, he opted for Benedict, the patron saint
  of Europe.
• The last Pope Benedict reigned during the
  First World War. He is credited with settling
  animosity between traditionalists and modernists,
  and wanted to bring about a reunion with Orthodox
  Christians.

  be afraid to exercise his powers.

  ENFORCER, ROTTWEILER! One headline - A Fearsome
  Reputation.
• So we now have a German Pope, who once belonged
  to Hitlers Youth (this is of course played
  down), he ran a Vatican department that sort to
  rid the world of Protestantism. He is hardline,
  conservative and has as his main priority EUROPE,
  (hence taking the name of Benedict patron saint
  of Europe) and also reconciliation with the
  Orthodox Church. This will be reconciliation on
  HIS terms though that much is clear.
• The German link is interesting. The Roman Empire
  continues in some form until the ancient of
  days The iron exists until Christ returns. The
  Roman Empire was followed by the Holy Roman
  Empire.Later known as the 1st Reich (Empire).
  After Charlemagne the Empire was ruled by German
  Kings.It all began when Otto I of Germany came to
  the rescue of Pope John XII. After this, Otto was
  crowned emperor of the Romans as a reward. From
  this time on, the German kings claimed the right
  to rule the empire. After the Holy Roman Empire
  came the Germanic Empire (2nd Reich/Empire) and
  after this came the 3rd Reich/Empire.(Nazi
  Germany). There is evidence that Pope Pius XII
  assisted in the rise of Hitler who of course
  destroyed 6 million Jews. It could well be that
  this German Pope also assists the German beast in
  destroying 2/3rds of those who live in Israel. We
  know the woman (Papacy) directs the beast
  (Europe).

Popes death inspires would be priests

• The first large-scale advertising campaign for
  the priesthood is to be launched by the Roman
  Catholic Church as it tries to mobilise the young
  masses who mourned the death of Pope John Paul
  II.
• Youth workers are also using an alternative
  18-to-30s festival to help shore up lay interest
  following the death of the "young people's pope".
• The advertising campaign, "Get collared for the
  challenge of a lifetime", will run on the London
  Underground during the summer, and could extend
  across the country.
• Beer mats carrying the same message will be
  distributed at youth festivals.

• At Pope Benedicts inauguration he said that his
  words would go out like a wave to all men and
  women. He wants to bring all religions under the
  wings of Rome. And so in the UK a recruitment
  campaign has begun to encourage would be priests
  to join the church. Even advertising on beer
  mats! We have noted before how the Protestant
  religion in this country has all but conceded to
  Rome. We are living in the days the Christ warned
  us of even the elect must be careful that they
  not are not taken in.

• The death rattles of the European Union's
  constitution have produced
  much fretting over the future of
  Europe. Yet the future is in doubt precisely
  because so much of the past has been forgotten.
  Europe above all is a cultural idea. When the
  Roman Empire disintegrated it was not clear what,
  if anything, would replace it. Would there be a
  centre that could unite Sicilians with
  Hibernians? Indeed, as various kingdoms and
  principalities and duchies spun out of the
  empire, it was evident that neither economics nor
  politics could provide the centre of unity.
• It was instead a common faith that created
  Europe. Christianity united the diverse European
  nations. If Europe wishes to be united by more
  than trade and customs agreements, it will have
  to find something ennobling to which it can give
  its collective assent. It is doubtful that this
  could be Christianity again. But if not the
  common faith that created Europe, it is difficult
  to imagine what else it might be.

• This article written by a Catholic Priest is
  perhaps the beginnings of the woman (the false
  religion of Rome) trying regain control of the
  beast (Europe) again. While the EU is in a
  political vacuum we should watch for more

Vatican / Israel row

• The Pope will not be dictated to by Israel, the
  Vatican declared yesterday, as it hit back at
  officials of the Jewish state who criticised him
  for "failing" to condemn a Palestinian suicide
  bombing.
• A sharply worded Vatican statement said the Pope
  could not be expected to condemn every
  Palestinian bombing because Israel's retaliation
  for such attacks was ''not always compatible with
  the rules of international law''.
• It would be "impossible'' to condemn a
  Palestinian attack while letting any Israeli
  military reaction ''pass in silence".
• The staunch defence of the pontiff by Vatican
  officials came after the Israeli foreign ministry
  complained that he had "deliberately" failed to
  mention - during his Angelus prayer last Sunday -
  a suicide bombing in the town of Netanya. The
  Pope condemned recent terrorist strikes in
  Britain, Egypt, Iraq and Turkey, but not the
  attack that killed five Israelis on July 12.
  Nimrod Barkan, head of the foreign ministry's
  Jewish affairs bureau, replied by summoning the
  Vatican envoy, Archbishop Pietro Sambi, to his
  office on Monday.
• The row follows a long period of improving
  relations and threatens to undermine sensitive
  talks to cement diplomatic ties. Rome's Chief
  Rabbi, Riccardo Di Segni, said the Holy See was
  acting in the matter like "a political
  institution, with precise interests to protect in
  the chess game of the Middle East". He added "I
  hope that Benedict, who knows theology so well,
  will quickly try to also grasp the ways of
  politics and the art of diplomacy."

• Comment
• This is surely of great interest to those who
  view world events with Bible in hand. The present
  Pope condemns all the suicide bombings in
  Britain, Egypt, Iraq and Turkey but does not
  mention the suicide attack on Jews by a
  Palestinian which killed 5 Israelis during the
  same time period.
• Note the Vaticans response to the Israeli
  outrage at this. It would be "impossible'' to
  condemn a Palestinian attack while letting any
  Israeli military reaction ''pass in silence".
• So why should we take note of this? Well consider
  these points.
• The Roman Catholic Church believes Israels right
  to be the Kingdom of God ended forever in AD70.
• It claims to be rightful heir of the Kingdom of
  God and that Rome is now the New Jerusalem
• The long centuries of non Jewish control of their
  land seemed to validate Papacys claim but the
  rebirth of Israel challenged Catholicisms
  Kingdom of God theory.
• The boast of Rome to be the eternal city was
  completely deflated when Jerusalem once again
  became capital of Israel in 1967.
• And so in the Romes eyes the very existence of
  Israel threatens its own existence. Its own
  teachings. This is why it has in the past
  persecuted the Jews, and why in the future it
  will join in the great battle fought over
  Jerusalem. Therefore we might well expect
  tensions to increase between them the nearer we
  get to the end.

Pope in Germany

• Pope Benedict XVI was greeted by hundreds of
  thousands of young Roman Catholics from around
  the world yesterday when he arrived in his native
  Germany for an emotional homecoming. Benedict
  XVI, who was drafted into the Hitler Youth in
  Bavaria as a child, yesterday became the first
  pope to visit a German synagogue, where he made
  clear his intent to forge stronger ties between
  Christians and Jews. "Today, sadly, we are
  witnessing the rise of new signs of anti-Semitism
  and various forms of a general hostility towards
  foreigners he said.
• Comment
• This is pure and simple deceit. It is - as Paul
  writes below in relation to this man of sin -
  a teaching of delusion it is a lie. But
  millions believe it. And now even the Jews
  themselves are taken in as the Pope is welcomed
  into their synagogue. In the growing spirit of
  ecumenicalism let us not be taken in ourselves.
  What would God think if we welcomed the Pope into
  our ecclesia and kissed his hand? Notice though
  the giveaway comment when referring to

Abbas invites Pope to visit

  invitation to the Pope "to visit the Palestinian
  people in Palestine." Abbas was quoted as urging
  Benedict to "use all his weight and the spiritual
  and moral importance of the Catholic Church to
  put an end to the suffering of the Palestinian
  people and to guarantee their legitimate right to
  create an independent state with east Jerusalem
  as its capital."

• And now the leader of the Palestinians turns
  (only days after the withdrawal from Gaza) to
  none other than the Pope! Asking him to use ALL
  his abilities to help the Palestinians have a
  state, with east Jerusalem as its capital!!! But
  why go to the Pope? Well the previous Pope (John
  Paul II) signed a covenant with the previous
  Palestinian leader (Arafat) back in 2000. The
  agreement in effect acknowledged the Palestinian
  claims to the city. It said that Israels claims
  to Jerusalem were morally and legally
  unacceptable. No wonder Abbas has gone back to
  the Pope. The worlds most powerful religious
  leader will probably confirm the covenant.

  study of scripture, that they should not expect
  total accuracy from the Bible. We should not
  expect to find in Scripture full scientific
  accuracy or complete historical precision, they
  say in The Gift of Scripture.

• I am not sure that the Catholic Church has ever
  sworn to the Truth of the Bible. It was of course
  the Catholic Church that did everything it could
  to stop an English Bible from being produced.Why?
  Because they knew it would expose their false
  teachings. Tyndale (translator of our English
  Bible) was strangled and burnt at the stake with
  the Catholic Church looking on. If you have an AV
  Bible, look at the note of the translators to
  King James at the very front (4th paragraph) It
  says we should beware of Popish persons who want
  to keep the people in ignorance and darkness.

Royal Mails Christmas stamps

• Hindus are demanding that Royal Mail withdraws
  one of this year's Christmas stamps, claiming the
  mother and child image it represents is insulting
  to their religion. The 68p Christmas stamp, which
  would be used to send mail to India, features a
  man and woman with Hindu markings worshipping the
  infant Christ. The image is one of a series of
  six mother and child stamps that go on sale
  today. Ramesh Kallidai, secretary general of the
  Hindu Forum of Britain, said the image was
  insensitive, because it showed people who were
  clearly Hindu worshipping Christ.

• Why mention this? Well the Royal Mail in the UK
  is celebrating the birth of Christ by
  introducing stamps with the Madonna and child.

  to the Vatican. He had a 25-minute audience with
  Pope Benedict XVI. Israeli commentators say the
  meeting has great symbolic importance, as the two
  sides try to improve relations that have often
  been fraught.

  Little says that if the two states are to come
  together - as Israel hopes - to combat extremism,
  there is a lot of fence-mending to be done. They
  recently had a diplomatic row over suicide
  bombings when the Pope omitted to mention an
  attack on Israel. There was also the Catholic
  Church's eagerness to canonise the controversial
  wartime Pope Pius XII. And Israel has long
  regarded the Vatican, which did not recognise the
  Jewish state until 1993, as pro-Palestinian.

• The Holy See used the occasion to reiterate its
  support for a two-state solutionIsrael and
  Palestine existing side by sideto the ongoing
  crisis. The fact is that Rome cannot afford for
  there to be a Jewish state in control of
  Jerusalem. The only reason they recognised Israel
  in 1993 was that they decided to back the
  Palestinians and their claim for East Jerusalem.
  As long as Jerusalem is split the Vatican can
  claim that ROME is the new Jerusalem and that God
  has indeed cast of his people. Therefore at every
  opportunity they talk about the 2 state solution.
  What they mean is - they want the Palestinians
  to have East Jerusalem as their capital.

• Abbas and the new Pope are developing a close
  relationship. Last week the Palestinian leader
  invited the Pope to visit Jerusalem and places
  holy to Christians. No date has yet been set but
  the Pope has accepted the invite. This week the
  Pope accepted this Bethlehem Passport. This is
  pure propaganda. It is a campaign to draw the
  worlds attention to the wall the Israelis are
  building through Bethlehem. By accepting the
  passport the Pope is showing where his allegiance
  lies. Interesting that this first citizen of
  Bethlehem will one day launch a war against the
  future ruler of Israel.

• And so another year draws to a close. But what a
  remarkable year in terms of prophecy fulfilled!
• At the beginning of each World Watch it says that
  time and again the following would keep cropping
  up as we journey towards the coming kingdom.
• Israel Middle East the growing conflict
• This year has seen Israel become ever more the
  focus of the worlds attention. Iran has called
  for Israel to be wiped off the map. Israel has
  withdrawn from Gaza and parts of the West Bank. A
  wall almost surrounds the entire nation now.
• Europe the developing union / political and
  religious
• A new Pope is elected Cardinal Ratzinger. He
  named himself Benedict after the patron saint of
  Europe. He is calling for Christian Unity! In his
  Christmas speech he called for Middle East peace.
  He means Israel should give up East Jerusalem.
  This will bring war. Europe has rejected the
  constitution but continues to hang together as
  divided nations exactly as Revelation 17 and
  Daniel 2 show us.
• Russia continued turning back to anti west ways
• Russia is increasingly in the news for doing arms
  deals with those the US considers to be the Axis
  of Evil i.e. Syria and Iran. Under Putin the free
  press has been shut down, nuclear programmes have
  been developed and a new Cold War may have
  started.
• The development of King of South US UK
• Tarshish and her young lions continue to be
  locked in a war in Iraq. This area of ancient
  Babylon where sin and death entered the world and
  the first kingdom of men began is a scene of
  death and destruction. Remember Abraham was
  called out of this area.
• Declining moral standards and increasing
  violence.
• The UK introduces gay marriage. Violence
  increases remember the scenes in France! We
  have seen unprecedented natural disasters with
  Tsunami, hurricanes and earthquakes. Let us pray
  that 2006 finally brings relief with the return
  of our King.
