5Report Cards
- Report cards will be sent home after every nine
week grading period. - The exiting criteria for kindergarten is a level
three. - Please sign and return the manilla envelope.
- You may keep the paper copy.
6Birthdays
Birthday baggies may be passed out at the end of
the day by the birthday child. Invitations
can be distributed at school if the whole class
is invited.
7Cooking Activities
- Individual classrooms may participate and
partake in a variety of cooking activities
throughout the year to supplement our classroom
learning. - Your childs classroom teacher may request
different items, as needed, throughout the year.
8Times to Arrive at School
- The first bell rings at 715.
- The official bell rings at 740.
- The tardy bell rings at 745.
- Children are invited to sit in the
kindergarten hallway to read and look at books
quietly. - In order to help our children gain independence
and meet Kindergarten report card expectations,
as of tomorrow, we ask all hugs, kisses and
goodbyes to be given before going past the trophy
case. - i.e. - walking to class and taking care of
personal items - (backpacks, folders, notes from home),
9Clothing
Please make sure your childs jacket is
labeled.
Please send your child with an extra set of
clothes to be kept in their backpack for
unexpected accidents (the nurse will no longer
provide extra clothing).
- The coaches ask for all students to wear tennis
shoes - and shorts under skirts/dresses on designated
P.E. - days.
Students will be asked to wear their Wild About
Kinder shirts or a black shirt for special
events.
Remember seasons change.
10Weekly Readers
- We have subscribed to a Weekly Reader that
enriches student learning. - Kindergarten teachers are asking all children to
send 6 to school by September 8th.
11Volunteers
- Please see the sign up sheet for volunteers
needed for the school year. - All volunteers must complete a volunteer
application found on our schools website.
12Specials
- PE-Your child must wear tennis shoes.
- Music
- Art
13The Kinder Giving Tree
- At the front of our hallway we have set up a
giving tree with items needed for the team. If
you and your family are willing to donate
item(s), please turn in the item(s) to a
kindergarten teacher. - Thank you so much for your generosity!
14Childs Health
- All medication will be distributed by the school
nurse. - If your child becomes sick at school the nurse
will contact you.
- If your child has a fever they are not permitted
to return to school until he/she is fever free
for 24 hours.
15Cafeteria
- To buy a school lunch the cost is 2.05.
- Milk is .50
- There is a separate charge for specialty items
- ( fruit snacks, chips, etc.).
- If you add money to your childs account online,
there is a 2 charge.
- You may choose to pay the cafeteria (in person or
online) or send the money in a bag/envelope
labeled with your child's name on it. - The Jungle store will be open on Fridays.

16Field Trips
- We plan on taking a fall and spring field trip
this year. - All children will be responsible for bringing a
disposable lunch. - Chaperones will be needed, but we can not
accommodate siblings.
17Parent Conferences
- Fall Conferences will be held
- October 12th
- At any other time during the year if you would
like a conference, please contact your childs
teacher to set up a conference. Our conference
period is from 12- 1245.
