Reported Incidents on the Area
  • As can be seen by the graphs, overall crime has
    been reduced, significantly Violent crime,
    Burglary and Vehicle crime.
  • There has been a small increase in criminal
    damage in Eastlands, namely to vehicles,
    following an incident whereby a number of
    vehicles were attacked during one incident.

Good News Stories
  • Anti-Social Behaviour a number of people using
    motorcycles to cause nuisance have received
    official warnings, at least one vehicle has been
    seized.
  • Reduced number of reported incidents at
    Featherbed Lane.
  • Continued patrolling and monitoring of Dunsmore
    Avenue and vicinity has resulted in reduced
    number of incidents.

School liaison
  • A number of school talks have been conducted at
    local primary schools allowing children to come
    into contact with the Police, learn about their
    job and see some of what they do.
  • Visits to local schools with Fire Service to
    educate children in risks and consequences of
    arson.
  • Presentations to Ashlawn School students about
    risks and consequences of crime.

Good News Stories
  • Warrants intelligence received led to officers
    executing warrants successfully under the Misuse
    of Drugs Act 1971, at 3 premises, leading to 6
    arrests and the seizure of a substantial quantity
    of cannabis.
  • Arson just one incident of arson has been
    reported over the summer months, this being a
    shed within the allotments at Eastlands.
    Following this, a crime reduction strategy has
    been designed and due to be implemented in coming
    months.
