Introduction

• Pulsars Rotating magnetized neutron stars
• Multiwavelength emission (eg. Radio, X, gamma)
• Best Candidates for studying extreme physical
  conditions (density, magnetic fields, period)
• Studied throughout the electromagnetic spectrum
  In the gamma rays the acceleration of high energy
  particles can be studied

Gamma Ray Pulsars Observational Status

• 7 Pulsars detected by EGRET (Vela, Crab, Geminga,
  etc..)
• Many Unidentified EGRET Sources coincident with
  compact stars/ Supernova remnants
• ? Pulsar Candidates

• Apply barycentric corrections
• Satellite frame? SSB frame

• Known Pulsars
• Assign phase
• Fold with known period
• Compare with other l

Pisa Activities on Pulsars

• Take DC1 Data (eg merge 6 days of data)
• Select Pulsars with known period from the 3rd
  EGRET Catalogue
• Select ROI and put Energy Cuts
• Find Total of observation windows
• Fold the data with known periods
• Make a Sky-Map
