Changes to Review Area2004-2008
  • Ray Underhill PS 2004 added all students
    south of HWY 401 who were attending Meadowvale
    Village PS
  • Willow Way PS 2005 and 2007 added students east
    of Creditview Road
  • Vista Heights PS 2004 FI boundary change with
    Plum Tree Park PS (directed students west of 10th
    line to Plum Tree Park) 2008 opened new FI site
    at Britannia PS all students north of Britannia
    Road now directed to Britannia PS for FI

Projection accuracy
  • System wide we are accurate to within ½ short
    term
  • The boundary changes make it difficult to compare
    enrolment projections
  • Changes to the number of students taking French
    Immersion also impact the ability to compare
    projections.
  • Board wide double the number of grade 1 students
    take FI compared to 5 years ago.
  • Now have 17.5 of our total grade 1 population
    are FI.
  • Vista Heights FI boundary had approximately 30
    of grade 1 students taking French Immersion in
    2008

    resources available to the Peel District School

Steps

    Physical Planning and Building Committee on
    January 5th, 2010.

  • PDSB considers both reports on January 12th,
    2010. A final decision will be made at this
    regular Board meeting.
  • The final decision belongs to the Board of
    Trustees, not the ARC or board staff
  • Implementation of the Board's decision begins
    (Stage IV)
