- Who, whose, whom refer to people
- Which refers to things, objects, actions, ideas
- That refers to places, objects, action, groups of
people. - Relative pronouns introduce something in the
sentence. - Comma Rule 4 Use a comma if the information is
extra. If needed to complete the sentence dont
use a comma. - Example My dog, which has fleas, is my best
friend.
2Remember the wh clause can be removed from the
core sentence.
- Cheryl served the buttered toast. Cheryl works
at Arties Restaurant. - Cheryl, who served the buttered toast, works at
Arties Restaurant. - My cow gives chocolate milk. She is brown.
- My cow, which gives chocolate milk, is brown.
