• Harriet Tubman was famous for rescuing more than
  300 slaves from slavery in the southern states.
• She was also famous for creating the underground
  railroad.

• Harriet Tubman served as a nurse, scout, and a
  spy for the Union Army in South Carolina during
  the Civil War.
• She also came back 18 times in the 1850 and she
  helped about 300 slaves escape in the Underground
  Railroad.
• She escaped from slavery in 1849 and she went to
  Philadelphia without her husband, John Tubman.
• Harriet Tubman worked for the voting right for
  blacks.
