Task Force 1-27 Infantry Wolfhounds Iraqi
National Guard Awards
Iraqi National Guard hosted an awards ceremony
for two soldiers on the 10th of August. 1LT Ali
Husain Aziz and SGT Taher Ahmed Omer received
Brigade Achievement awards for their assistance
in getting over 100 people accepted into the New
Iraqi Army. Both soldiers are part of the D
Company, 207th Iraqi National Guard Battalion
located in Riyad.

Task Force 1-27 Infantry Wolfhounds Tel Al
Deheb Primary School
Renovations to Tel Al Deheb Primary School were
recently completed in the Al Abassi sub-district.
The project repaired the walls and floors,
installed fans and lights in the classrooms,
replaced broken windows, and installed water
tanks. The school is attended by 100 students
from two different villages. The project cost
12,000 and employed 30 people from the local
area.

Oil Company Security Meeting
The Northern Oil Company held a security meeting
on the 10th of August. Multi-National Forces,
the Northern Oil Company Security Chairman, and
several tribal leaders from the western portion
of Kirkuk province discussed ways to increase
communication and coordination between the
different groups securing the pipeline. Emphasis
was placed on the importance of the oil pipeline
to the rebuilding efforts of the Iraqi
infrastructure and the future benefits the
pipeline will provide to the Iraqi people.

Task Force 1-27 Infantry Wolfhounds Al
Furquane Primary School

AFTER
Al Furquane Primary School was recently rebuilt
in the Al Abassi sub-district. The previous
school building was made of mud brick, so the
project constructed a new building out of cinder
block. New lights, windows, fans, and water
tanks were also installed in the new building.
The school is attended by 75 students from the
village. The entire project cost 25,000 and
employed 25 people from the local area.
