• Rasa-shastra is a branch of Ayurveda, which deals
  with Rasa, Uparasa, Lohas (I.e. Minerals
  Metals), Yantras, Methods of Shodhana, process of
  Satvapatana, Druti, Process of Bhasma preparation

Development-

• Rasa-shastra was developed by Rasa-siddhas
  Tantrikas
• Total no. of Rasa-siddha is 84.
• Nagarjuna was one of the Rasa-siddhas.
• Acarya Sarabha was the first siddha of Rasavidya,
  while Nagarjuna was second one. Nagarjuna is
  regarded as an eminent acharya of Rasa-shastra.

Nagarjuna

• (a) First Nagarjuna -
• Period-100 BC. He was the friend of king
  Salavahana and the master of Rasavidya and
  philosophy
• (b) Second Nagarjuna
• Period-8th cen. A.D. He was the student of
  Acarya Sarabha and the master of Rasasastra.
• (c) Third Nagarjuna -
• Period-9th cen. A.D. He was the Pratisamakarta
  of Susruta Samhita. .
