Vice Chair Duties

• Role-
• Board manager
• Serve as head of Membership zone and member of
  the Administrative Zone
• Duties-
• Represent NSBE and your college
• Preside in the absence of the president
• Manage the board activities
• Implementer and enforcer of programs and
  activities
• Effectively disseminate information and delegate
  tasks

  responsibilities as designated by the President
• Evaluate board members performance through
  monthly reports and periodic evaluations
• Send monthly reports to Regional Vice Chair

• Collect goals and timelines for every member of
  the CEB
• Goals may change depending on the feasibility of
  what is set
• Periodically access the goals to see how much
  board members are progressing

• Know your board-Get to know the members and
  personalities of your board
• Leadership development-Provide leadership
  training to the board. Use presentations,
  conference, or workshops.
• Conflict Resolution

• What is best solution?
• Set the example-Be the model board member
