3Continuous Improvement
- Stations are facing similar challenges
- How do we define success?
- What are the main drivers of value for my
station? - How do we best deploy our scarce resources to
accomplish our mission? - How do we influence results - not just record
them? - How can we achieve high operational performance?
- SABS should help industry management understand
performance issues, identify improvement
opportunities and move towards defined objectives - Standardize industry monitored performance
measures - Develop a more precise view of service costs
- Provide a complete industry data set
- Provide a tool for station comparison and
industry analysis - Provide uniform data to inform decisions for
system support - Provide stations with better management tools
A complete, consistent, comparative industry data
set can help us to make better decisions that are
aligned with our mission and value creation
