States of Matter

• Solidatoms are packed closely together
• Liquidatoms are not packed so closely together
  more spread apart than they are in a solid
• Gasatoms are wide spread

• Plasmaelectrons jump into a higher energy shell
  (for a split second) when they are stimulated by
  electricity then jump back they may emit light
  when this happens
