• The Calling of Moses (Ex 3-4)
• EX 31 Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro
  his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he
  led the flock to the far side of the desert and
  came to Horeb, the mountain of God. 2 There the
  angel of the LORD appeared to him in flames of
  fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though
  the bush was on fire it did not burn up. 3 So
  Moses thought, "I will go over and see this
  strange sight--why the bush does not burn up."
  EX 34 When the LORD saw that he had gone over to
  look, God called to him from within the bush,
  "Moses! Moses!" Moses said, "Here I am."
• 5 "Do not come any closer," God said. "Take off
  your sandals, for the place where you are
  standing is holy ground." 6 Then he said, "I am
  the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the
  God of Isaac and the God of Jacob." At this,
  Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look
  at God
• 9 And now the cry of the Israelites has reached
  me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are
  oppressing them. 10 So now, go. I am sending you
  to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out
  of Egypt." 11 But Moses said to God, "Who am I,
  that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the
  Israelites out of Egypt?" 12 And God said, "I
  will be with you.

• God Loves You
• God first words to Moses was, "Moses! Moses!
• Repeated named shows intimacy.
• God still loved Moseseven when Moses thought he
  was forgotten and alone
• God is still working in your life, in the world
  around you
• It took Moses 40 years as a shepherd to learn
  how to take care of the Hebrews who will wander
  in the desert for 40 years!
• God has a plan for our lives even when we dont
  know it!

• Take a Break from Your Routine
• 2 There the angel of the LORD appeared to him in
  flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that
  though the bush was on fire it did not burn up.
  3 So Moses thought, "I will go over and see this
  strange sight--why the bush does not burn up."
• EX 34 When the LORD saw that he had gone over to
  look, God called to him from within the bush
• Just like Moses, we will have our routines
• God is working all around you and in your life,
  without you knowing.
• We need not only to have good intentions but we
  need to act!

• You are Part of Gods Plan
• You have a part to play in Gods story of life
• Do you want to be a part of it?
• Without fitting into Gods plan, we will never
  truly be happy or be fulfilled in life.
• When God, said
• I am God of Abraham
• We need to fine tune our spiritual antenna and
  reception
• through prayer, meditation, reading and hearing
  Gods Word.

• Stepping into Gods Plan Requires Faith
• There are reasons we too give to God, why we
  cant
• We dont have the time,
• We dont have the money,
• We dont have the knowledge,
• I am not outgoing enough, etc
• God still says, I want YOU!
• We need to start focusing on God. It takes
  faith!
• NIV Matthew 633 But seek first his kingdom and
  his righteousness, and all these things will be
  given to you as well.
• Ask God everyday, How can I be part of your plan
  today? How can I serve you today?

• Conclusion
• Are you in a desert?
• Just as God called Moses, He will also call you
• How will you be part of Gods plan this week?
• Listening and obeying may make the biggest
  difference in your life and in the lives of
  others.
