  Wireless Technology Innovation Lab (WTI) and
  Siemens Aktiengesellschaft Information
  Communication mobile Networks Division
• Objectives
• The principal aim of JRB3G is the investigation
  of technologies, methods and algorithms that will
  meet the needs of cellular mobile communications
  systems beyond the 3rd generation. The main focus
  is on the air-interface of such a system. Based
  on the outcome of the investigations undertaken
  an actual proposal for a system beyond the 3rd
  generation will be made - in particular, a
  proposal on the air-interface of such a system.

• Environment for Learning and Teaching - Network
  Simulation
• Sub-program of 2MN - Modules for The Multimedia
  Network Based Higher Education, which is a
  project supported by Federal Ministry of
  Education and Research Funding, Germany.
• Carried out by IGDV center of University of
  Applied Sciences, Darmstadt and BUPT Multi-Media
  Technology Center.
• The first stage is from July 2001- Dec. 2003.
  Further cooperation for next stage of this
  program and also joint application for other
  programs are under discussion between two sides.
