• Racial profiling is the practice of targeting
  certain groups during law enforcement.
• Usually pertains to how often members of racial
  minority groups are subject to traffic stops.

Post 9-11 Profiling

• Muslims are finding themselves victims to more
  and more profiling since 9-11.
• Numerous Muslims detained indefinitely for
  terrorist-related activities.
• Most blatant in airport searches
• Airport security has been heightened overall, but
  Muslims are searched at much high levels than
  other groups.

Consequences

• Negative racial stereotypes are enforced and
  perpetuated by profiling.
• Severe violations of civil rights
• Muslim discrimination bears similarities to
  senseless WWII detainment of Japanese-Americans.
