Budget Committee
  • The Campus Advent Budget Committee would consist
    of Treasurer and the following committee members
  • Agape Feast Officer
  • Picnic Officer
  • Crusade Finance Chair
  • Campus Advent Weekend Chair
  • Fundraiser Officer
  • Liaison Officer

Officers/ Chairperson
  • Any individual that wants an officer position
    would have to apply and would chosen based on
    past experience and dedication to Campus Advent
  • Applications weigh heavier on dedication than
    experience, although experience is a major plus.
  • Dedication is based on number of fundraisers
    participated in, number of meetings and/or events
    attended, and the number of community service
    projects you taken place in.

Officers/ Chairpersons
  • Each budget committee officer will be responsible
    for certain events or different aspects of the
    treasury.
  • All officers will report back to the treasurer
  • Individuals can hold more than one office or
    chair, but no more than two.
  • The difference between an officer and chairperson
    is the level of involvement with SG finance and
    how closely theyd be expected to work with the
    treasurer.

Agape Feast Officer Responsibilities
  • Contacting the necessary people in order to
    receive the money needed for food and/or
    decorations.
  • Receive the budget for the Agape feast either
    from the person in charge of the Agape feast or
    the from the Treasurer
  • Record all money spent for the Agape Feast
  • Make sure that no more than 150 is spent for the
    Agape feast.

Picnic Officer
  • Either plan the picnic/s for summer and/or fall
    or receive the budget from the person planning
    the event.
  • Coordinate the transportation of the food from
    Reitz Union to the planned location.
  • Submit an SAR for the picnic budget (President
    and Treasurer MUST approve the SAR before it goes
    to SG Finance).

Crusade Finance Chairperson
  • Receive budget from the Crusade director at least
    a month in advance.
  • Confirm that all performers and speakers are in
    the SG finance system
  • Submit SAR in to the system for all services,
    performers, and speakers
  • Go with the Treasurer to the ACCENT Office to
    help with the contract process
  • Contact the Treasurer if proposed Crusade budget
    exceeds the 2007-2008 fiscal year budgeted
    amount.

Campus Advent Weekend Chairperson
  • Same duties as the Crusade Finance Chairperson
    except they receive the budget from the person in
    charge of the Campus Advent Weekend.

Fundraiser Officer
  • Research new fundraiser activities
  • Coordinate fundraiser events
  • Make sure that the money received from the
    fundraiser is recorded and given to the Treasurer
    to store

Liaison Officer
  • This officer will be submitting finance reports
    to Bill Croftan every 3 months and making sure
    that the Program Director has the necessary funds
    needed to advertise their events to the UF
    community and the Adventist churches.
