- Integrated planning is a process involving the
drawing together of University-wide and
unit-specific planning efforts, which permits
strategic decision making and provides a synoptic
view of resources and commitments. - Integrated planning will act as a focal point for
institutional initiatives and resource allocation

5How it all began
- In 2001, the University of Saskatchewan appointed
its first Provost and Vice-President Academic. - For the first time, the University was able to
have academic priorities drive the planning
process.

- A team was assembled to research best practices
and designing a new planning process for the
University of Saskatchewan. - In 2002 the President restated the vision of the
University - The Provost released the White Paper on
Integrated Planning.

- Combines expertise from Budget, Academic
Planning, Institutional Analysis and Facilities
