Oliver Cromwell and answer the questions below.
Source A. A historian writing in 1952. He was
successful in his wars abroad and was able to
defeat the rebellion in Ireland. At home he gave
the English people both peace and order after
long years of trouble.
Source B. A historian writing in 1996 In the
Nineteenth century as England moved towards
democracy.historians became more sympathetic
towards him. Yet, here was the man who ruthlessly
crushed rebellion in Ireland, supported the
execution of Charles, ordered the shooting of
leading Levellers and.banned football and
Christmas.
