• Cardinals are beautiful creatures. They have
  light stomachs and dark backs. Cardinals are
  beautiful birds.

Characteristics

• Cardinals weigh 1 1/4 ounces. Cardinals are
  bright red.They are medium sized birds. Male
  Cardinals are the same size as female Cardinals.
  The male is bright red with a black face. The
  female has a pink beak and is grey with dark red
  wings and stomach. .

Habitat

• Cardinals live in North America. They live all
  over the eastern united states all the way to
  western Arizona. They also live in California in
  the woods. They live in woods, parks and gardens.

Lifespan

• The babies hatch after 12 13 days. They leave
  the nest when they are 10 11 days old. The
  daddy watches over them when they are out of the
  nest.

• Cardinals hatch from eggs. A cardinal lays 2 to 5
  eggs at a time. The mommy makes the nest out of
  twigs.

• Their favorite snacks are Fruit, corn, oats,
  rice, and flowers.They also eat bugs. It hunts
  and finds it food in gardens, forests and many
  people feed cardinals. Cats like to eat them.
