  thing, and my life is unmanageable.

  to Christs care and control.

  to God, and to another person I trust.

• Voluntarily submit to every change God wants to
  make in my life and humbly ask Him to remove my
  character defects.

• Evaluate all my relationships, offer forgiveness
  to those whove hurt me and make amends for harm
  Ive done to others, except when to do so would
  harm them or others.

No more relapses!

• Reserve a daily time with God for
  self-examination, Bible reading and prayer in
  order to know God and His will for your life and
  gain the power to do it.
• Watch and pray so that you will not fall into
  temptation for the spirit is willing, but the
  body is weak. Mark 1438 NIV

Yield

• Yield myself to God to be used to bring this good
  news to others by both my example and my words.
• So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so
  that the power of Christ may work through me.
  10Since I know it is all for Christs good, I am
  quite content with my weaknesses.For when I am
  weak, then I am strong. 2 Cor. 129,10 NLT

Why?

• He has given us a free will.
• Today I am giving you the choice between a
  blessing and a curse! 27You will be blessed if
  you obey the commands of the LORD your God that I
  am giving you today. 28You will receive a curse
  if you reject the commands of the LORD your God.

• God uses pain to get our attention.
• Sometimes it takes a painful situation to make us
  change our ways. Pr. 2030 Good News Bible.
• God whispers to us in our pleasures, but He
  shouts in our pain.
• I am glad not because it hurt you but because
  the pain turned you to God. 2 Cor. 79 Living
  Bible
• Remember Jonah?
• When I had lost all hope I once again turned my
  thoughts to the Lord. Jonah 27 Living Bible

• God uses pain to teach me to depend on Him.
• We were crushed and completely overwhelmed, and
  we thought we would never live through it. 9In
  fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we
  learned not to rely on ourselves, but on God who
  can raise the dead. 10And he did deliver us from
  mortal danger. And we are confident that he will
  continue to deliver us. 2 Cor. 18-10 NLT

• God allows pain to give me a ministry to others.
• And why does he do this? So that when others are
  troubled, needing our sympathy and encouragement,
  we can pass on to them this same help and comfort
  God has given us. 5You can be sure that the more
  we undergo sufferings for Christ, the more he
  will shower us with his comfort and

Josephs conclusion

• You intended to harm me, but God intended it for
  good to accomplish what is now being done, the
  saving of many lives. Genesis 5020 NIV
• No matter what other people have done to you, God
  can turn it around and use it for good.

How?

• Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone
  who asks you to give the reason for the hope that
  you have. But do this with gentleness and
  respect. 2 Peter 315 NIV
• Pray for opportunities to share what God has done
  in your life. Then get ready!

Suggestions

• Be humblewere all fellow strugglers.
• Be realYou help other people by being honest
  about your hurts.
• We are committed to maintaining an attitude of
  acceptance in this church.

• Dont lecture
• Dear brothers and sisters, if another Christian
  is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should
  gently and humbly help that person back onto the
  right path. And be careful not to fall into the
  same temptation yourself. 2Share each others
  troubles and problems, and in this way obey the
  law of Christ. Galatians 61,2 NLT
