Introduction Community Policing Defined
What is community policing? Community policing
is all about partnership between the law
enforcement agency and the various sectors of the
community such as neighborhood associations,
business associations and local church and civic
groups. Working together in a collaborative
effort, the law enforcement agency, local
government and various civic organizations strive
to identify the various issues of crime and
disorder plaguing the community and seek to
combine their efforts to implement effective
plans and procedures to combat and resolve these
issues.
