CPGA Strategy Development

• Stage 1
• DG to recommend key areas of priority action and
  gain agreement from CPGA Committee. To be
  communicated to member clubs via Area Reps AGM.
• Stage 2
• DG to work up detailed action plans for each key
  area and gain agreement from CPGA Committee.
  Process for communication/consultation with
  member clubs to be agreed.
• Stage 3
• DG to prepare a strategy proposal document to be
  approved by CPGA Committee and circulated to
  member clubs asking for their comment. Depending
  on the nature of these recommendations, this may
  or may not take the form of an EGM.
• Stage 4
• Decisions to be taken and communicated to all
  clubs

CPGA key areas of focus 2008

• Preserving the heritage of Cornish pilot gig
  building and racing
• Clarification of the scope of the CPGAs role
  within the amateur rowing arena and their
  relationship with other associations eg, the ARA,
  WRRC, CRA, FSCRG, Seine Boats
• Management and support for member clubs
• Securing appropriate funding and sponsorship to
  achieve the key areas of focus in a way which
  minimises any additional costs to member clubs.
