• Attend regularly dont miss school unless
• you are ill.
• Be on time to all classes.
• Stay on task in the classroom and have your fun

Tips for Students- Focus!

• Attempt all assignments
• Keep phone numbers of classmates in all of your
  classes. When in doubt, call!
• Need help with work? See teachers before/after
  school, at break and lunch.
• Check in with your counselor.
• Be eligible with a 2.0 for extracurricular
  activities.
• Your June final grades count for high school
  eligibility.

• Pay attention to the registration process.
• If you dont follow through, classes do close.
  Earn PRIORITY by registering early!
• High school graduation requirements
• College entrance requirements (A-G)
• Individual interests
• Maintain a balanced program (challenging, but not

• 2.0 grade point average in June of previous year
  (thats 8th grade!)
• Teacher/coach recommendation plus tryouts
• Passing four classes
• Band requires a recommendation from the music
  teacher

Some sports do not require a recommendation, but
the student MUST attend summer workouts.

• Print out a copy of your selected classes
• Verify that the classes are correct
• You and your parents sign the print-out
• Return the completed work sheet AND signed
  print-out to your counselor
