13Angola Context
Angola is presently one of the world economies
with highest growth. GDP growth in 2005 was 20,6
(against the evaluation of IMF of 18) reaching
an yearly average of 12,5 in the last 3 years. A
large part of this growth is due to the strong
expansion of the oil sector, not only because of
crude high prices, but also due to a production
significant increase. Any way during the last
years, the government has tried to promote the
remaining economy sectors, namely through the
enforcement of new macroeconomic policies and the
implementation of the Country reconstruction
plan. Among others, one aims at relaunching the
agriculture, civil construction, fishing and
transforming industries.
