Norsko: Špicberky - Norway: Svalbard (Steve) "Svalbard je skupina ostrovov ležiacich za polárnym kruhom v Severnom ľadovom oceáne. Súostrovie predstavuje najsevernejšiu časť Nórska. Jeho rozloha je 62 tisíc km². Na ostrovoch nie je žiadna orná pôda a nerastú tam ani žiadne stromy. Šesťdesiat percent územia pokrývajú ľadovce a snehové polia. Na Svalbarde žije asi 2 800 obyvateľov. Hlavné a najväčšie mesto je Longyearbyen s približne 2000 obyvateľmi. Na ostrovoch neexistujú žiadne cesty, ktoré by spájali osady. Na dopravu sa využívajú snežné skútre, člny a lietadlá. Oficiálne objavenie súostrovia je pripisované holandskému objaviteľovi Viliamovi Barentsovi v roku 1596. Dve tretiny súostrovia zaberá sedem národných parkov a 23 prírodných rezervácií.
