ECG Cable and ECG Lead Wires are used in electrocardiography (ECG) procedure, which helps in recording the electric activity of the human heart with assistance of electrodes which are placed on the skin. The electrodes work by detection of the electrical activity of the heart muscle’s electrophysiological patterns. In an electrocardiograph there are 10 electrodes and 12 – lead ECG’s, which are placed on the limbs and surface of chest of the patient. The electrocardiograph can be used to decode the properties of heart such as position of heart chambers, rate and rhythm of heartbeats, size of heart, detection of damage to the heart muscles due to cardiac drugs. An ECG is performed when there are indications such as fainting, heart attack, seizures, chest pain and shortness of breath.
The global electrophysiology market is on the path to generating $17,482.7 million by 2030, compared to $7,076.1 million in 2021, advancing at a compound annual growth rate of 10.6% between 2021 and 2030. The growing count of cardiac ablation procedures, rising reforms for healthcare infrastructure growth, increasing demand for ablation and diagnostic catheters, and technology advancements are some major aspects driving the growth of the market.

North America Electrophysiology Market Size is Estimated To Exceed USD 3.5 Billion By 2027.Novel product launch and growing incidence of several cardiac arrhythmias is set to gradually stimulate electrophysiology market growth. The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly disrupted the healthcare industry up to great extent. It has impacted the business sales of several firms and subsequently the revenue generated through elective and non-emergent procedures. With such impact, the number of electrophysiology procedures conducted in 2020 witnessed considerable downfall and has thereby negatively influenced the overall North America electrophysiology market size. However, with growing incidence of heart rhythm disorders and subsequent deterioration in prevalence of coronavirus infection, the industry is forecasted to recover and gradually grow in the foreseeable future to meet the unmet market demand.
