Collection of artworks in shades of blue by Bulgarian painters Marina Bogdanova, Dimitar Bogdanov, Dimitar Voinov - Junior, Mariana Kalacheva, Ivailo Petrov and Vladimir Kirov. The assigning of symbolic meanings to colors is probably as old as symbolism itself. “In fact, words are well adapted for description and the arousing of emotion, but for many kinds of precise thought other symbols are much better”. (John B. S. Haldane)

Snowdrops can symbolise chastity, consolation, death, friendship in adversity, hope and purity. Christians dedicated them to the Virgin Mary, scattering the flowers on altars on Candlemas Day (2 February) and bringing bunches into churches as symbols of purity. As a result, churchyards are often full of snowdrops, probably planted there to supply flowers for these rituals.
Tsenov's magically realistic pieces are conceived as vibrant mosaics, with multiple layers of space and time. They represent unique emotional matrices, which help us return to what is vital, to the somehow forgotten sources of our civilization.

It is in Plovdiv, where Tsenov teaches at the Art Academy, that he has discovered his authentic world, which keeps filling him with love. And this is why his words: “A painting should be started with love so it can come to life” have a special value when considering his works.
Valeri Tsenov is born in northeastern Bulgaria, but he chose to live and work in the southern Bulgarian city of Plovdiv – home to numerous prominent painters. He fell in love with the place as a student in the Fine Arts High School there. To this day the antique city unveils for him ever newer layers of ancient history and culture, constantly stirring his excitement.
SLIDESHOW - Collection of artworks. Poppy flowers have held a longstanding presence in the realm of art, symbolizing various meanings across cultures and time periods. Their delicate petals and vibrant hues often evoke themes of beauty, passion, and remembrance in artistic representations. The striking contrast between the vivid poppies and their green stems gives artists a powerful visual element to capture emotion and provoke contemplation in their viewers. In addition to their aesthetic appeal, poppies are laden with symbolic significance that transcends mere visual representation, carrying deep cultural and historical connotations that enrich the tapestry of artistic expression.
His paintings take part of prestigious private and public art collections all over the world (in the Bulgarian Presidency, in Unesco, in many European institutions etc.). Valer was chosen by the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to represent country's culture during the country's Presidency of the Council of Europe by one-month personal exhibition in the prestigious art hall of Aubette in Strasbourg (April 2016).
