Valeri Tsenov was born on the 27th of October
1961 in the village of Letchevo, Bulgaria. In
1981 he graduated the High School of Fine Arts in
Plovdiv. 1983 1989 studied and graduated
illustration, book design and graphics at the
Academy of Fine Arts, Sofia. The artist creates
in the field of painting and watercolors. His
works are part of private collections in Bulgaria
and abroad.

About Valeri Tsenov A rare phenomenon in
Bulgarian painting, Tsenov grabs our attention
with the poetic quality and mysticism of his
work. The young women in his paintings take us to
their magic world which is on the crossroads
between earthly and divine. Great calm and fresh
tranquility radiate from these meek faces
sometimes smiling, sometimes melancholic or
icon-like

The internal beauty of his pictures becomes
visible to the spectator who lets himself be
easily captured by the magic of colours, the
finesse of the models and the playing with lights

The artist lets us participate in his spiritual
explorations. He shows us the beauty of every
single thing. His works are rich with symbolism
the tree connects the earth and the sky, it grows
its roots into the material world and raises its
leaves toward the divine. The butterflies fly
away and carry our prayers with them they
symbolize the liberation of the soul, the
distancing, the road towards our internal lights

of happiness that comes back every time when you
set your eyes upon the picture. We thank Valery
Tsenov for presenting us with his own moments of
clarity and beauty that remain vital in our
tumultuous and complicated world

Painting, just like music, takes us into the
wonderful world of dreams and joy. As far as
techniques are concerned, this young artist is a
true virtuoso

He is equally good at using oil, gouache, water
colors, pencil, quill etc. And because technique
is not an obstacle for him to overcome, he is
able to let his imagination run wild and give
form to his fantasies in the most precise ways.
Some parts of his paintings are almost
transparent, others are definitely standing out
in relief in each painting the harmony of colors
is expressed in endless nuances, with a
bottomless richness of movement and incomparable
light. Valeri Tsenov is beyond all doubt one of
the "great artists". May God grand him a long
life and may he continue to charm us and decorate
our life and homes with his wonderful paintings.
