    Skills qualification. Locally we call this
    aim2work.

Personal Progression through Practical Life and
Work Skills
  • Learners are able to start work placements as
    soon as possible.
  • Work placements can be for up to one year.
  • Learners will benefit from gaining practical life
    and work skills to support them in their search
    for voluntary or paid employment as appropriate.

  • Each learner will complete four units
  • Applying for a job
  • Going for an interview
  • My role at work
  • Travelling to and from work.
  • This will be followed by an optional unit from
    Maintaining a work placement or Taking part in
    voluntary work.

  • There are real benefits that people with a
    learning disability can bring to the workplace.
  • Good practice in ensuring that all applicants,
    regardless of their disability, are considered
    for employment resulting in the appointment of
    the best person for the job.
