from clinics and physicians in El Paso and
Juarez. - Medical Laboratory Technology students and
faculty conduct periodic laboratory screenings to
include but not limited to anemia, cholesterol
and diabetes screenings.

- Partnerships More than 10 educational
institutions including area school districts,
UTEP, NEW Mexico State, UTMB, Texas Tech, BHI. - Health Affiliates for Clinical Learning More
than 150 Health facilities, clinics, physician
and dental offices
13CONCLUSIONS.
- There is a high demand for EPCC health/nursing
programs by students. - Health Occupations graduates are in high demand
by employers to meet the health manpower needs. - Most EPCC graduates remain in El Paso
- Health Occupations graduates have an
economic impact on El Paso. - Recruitment and retention of faculty is
difficult. - Partnerships are critical in keeping our programs
up-to-date through advisory committees,
affiliation agreements, and donations. - Emerging health programs and options need to be
identified through community input to continue to
meet community needs.
