Reflection on Katrina
  • May the sadness and devastation that resulted
from the forces of nature in Katrina teach us all
to value that precious commodity called life, the
daily comforts that we call home, our ability to
go to work each day, and the value of
predictability in our daily lives. Most
important, may Katrina serve as a lasting
reminder in history of the vast discrepancies
that still exist in this country between the
haves and the have nots and the injustices that
continue in life around us each day.
