1
Tangerineby Edward Bloor
  • Presentation by Brandon M.

2
Paul
  • Legally blind
  • Plays soccer
  • Often overlooked because of his vision. For
example, his Dad doesnt pay attention to Pauls
soccer skills, but he does pay attention to
    Pauls brother, Erik's football skills.

3
Erik
  • Football player (place-kicker)
  • Murderer
  • Thief
  • Feels he is always blamed

4
Mom
  • Mother to Erik and Paul
  • Worries what other people think of her.
  • Defensive to her family
  • In charge of Lake Windsor Downs Homeowners
    Committee

5
Dad
  • Father to Erik and Paul.
  • Football Dad to Eriks football team
  • Concerned more about Eriks football than Pauls
    soccer

6
Setting
Tangerine takes place in Tangerine, FL during
present times. During the beginning, some took
place in Houston, TX.
7
Problem
There are multiple problems in Tangerine. The
main one is that Paul plays soccer very well.
However, he is kicked off of his schools
soccer team because of his IEP for being legally
blind. The second problem is that Paul knows
Erik is a bad person. But, no one will believe
him.
8
Solution
The solution to the first problem was that Paul
transferred to Tangerine Middle School without
an IEP. There he played backup. The solution
to the second problem was that Mom found items
Erik and his friend, Arthur, stole. Paul then
ratted Erik out to the police about a murder
Erik and Arthur committed.
9
Theme-Pauls Vision
Paul is legally blind, so, naturally he cant
visually see as well as a normal human
being. But, he can see (meaning understand)
things better than his parents.
