• Not a created being, but has a nature
  identical to Gods (Jn 11-3, 14, 18)
• Could claim equality (Phil. 26)
• A claim that was regarded as blasphemous!

• God testified to His identity
• Through miracles wonders (John 32)
• Verbal testimony (Mark 111 Mark 97)
• Utlimate By the resurrection (Rom 11-4)

• Decision Time Accept or Reject Jesus Identity!
• His miracles, teachings, and the witness could
  not be ignored!
• Disciples faith developed (Mark 441 5-8
  Matthew 1615-16)
• Others rejected Him! (Mt. 2662-65)

• Possessed and valued a special relationship with
  God (Heb. 14-5)
• Religious world did not have this and did not
  understand the concept!
• Jesus spoke openly of the relationship calling
  God His Father! (John 819)
• He prayed addressing God as My Father
  (John 171, 5)
• This relationship called for submission on
  Jesus part! (Lk 2242)

• Jesus wanted to instill the child-father
  relationship within His disciples!
• Why teach disciples to pray saying, Our
  Father? (Matthew 69)
• Teaching focused on seeing God as their Father
  (Mt. 516 61, 14-15, 30-32)
• Many of the Jews their leaders saw this as
  too distant and impossible!

• We conduct ourselves in accordance to this

• When we think of Jesus being The Son of God we
  should think of
• Jesus deity He is God!
• The type of close relationship Jesus had with
  His Father that we should seek
• The work Jesus did for each one of us that we
  could become sons of God
• Are you a son of God?
