  • Stable on Lithium Carbonate until 2005
  • ? Parkinsons Sinemet
  • Presented with confusion relapse of Bipolar
  • 1 Year as inpatient

Rationale
  • Quick screens such as MMSE and DRS are not
    sensitive and often not specific
  • Heavily weighted to oral response
  • Long batteries are LONG
  • Different norms within the batteries
  • Often lack norms for older age groups
  • Multifactorial

  • Assessment of several domains of cognitive
    functioning
  • Each individual sub-test primarily taps into a
    principle domain
  • Sensitive to mild levels of impairment
  • No more than two hours in length
