    the speech of a female.
  • Under modern conditions, men should share in
household tasks such as washing dishes and doing
    laundry.
  • A woman should be as free to propose as a man.
  • Women earning as much as their dates should offer
to pay when they go out together.

  • Favorable in a team sport or military environment

6
Disadvantages of Male Leadership
  • Tends to be less motivational
  • Higher absenteeism and turnover
  • Unethical practices can occur which can be
    detrimental to an organization

7
Female Leadership

known as the Feminine Leadership Model

9
Disadvantages of Female Leadership
  • Tends to be less efficient
  • Valuable time can be lost during group
    discussions and feedback
  • Not all people are receptive to the female style
  • Stereotyping and generalizations

10
Organizational Practices to Address Gender
Differences
  • In order to have an effective work environment,
differences between male and female leaders must
    be understood and addressed
  • Hire managers that are open minded and willing to
    reverse stereotypes
  • Create a mentor system
  • Pair men and woman together as co-leaders to get
    the benefits of both styles
  • Use male leaders in situations that will benefit
from their style, and use female leaders in
situations that are better suited for their
    leadership approach

11
BATTLE OF THE SEXES
  • Heres a little game to see which sex is more
    dominant!

12
Quote by which sex?
  • Only one man in a thousand is a leader of
    men-the other 999 follow women.

13
Quote by which sex?
  • The leadership instinct you are born with is the
backbone. You develop the funny bone and the
    wishbone that go with it.

14
Quote by which sex?
  • Leadership is the art of getting someone else to
do something you want done because he wants to do
    it.

15
Quote by which sex?
  • If your actions inspire others to dream more,
learn more, do more and become more, you are a
    leader.

16
Quote by which sex?
  • I start with the premise that the function of
leadership is to produce more leaders, not more
    followers.

17
Quote by which sex?
  • A good leader inspires people to have confidence
in the leader, a great leader inspires people to
    have confidence in themselves.

18
Quote by which sex?
  • One never notices what has been done one can
only see what remains to be done.

19
Quote by which sex?
  • Never . . . Never . . . Never . . . Never Give
    up!

20
Quote by which sex?
  • A leader takes people where they want to go. A
great leader takes people where they dont
necessarily want to go, but ought to be.

21
Quote by which sex?
  • The only safe ship in a storm is leadership.

22
Overall.
  • Match leadership styles based on the employees
    and the working environment
  • Always take into consideration the personality
and style of each individual leader
  • Dont assume gender differences or make
    generalizations
