Christianity spread through missionary work. In
4th century CE it became the religion of the
Romans and spread through the empire.

By the 16th century CE, Christianity has spread
throughout Europe. It has split into three
branches
Orthodox Roman Catholic Protestant

The east-west split in 1054CE Christianity led to
Orthodox and Roman Catholic.
Western Christianity split again in the 1500s.
Martin Luther and John Calvin both protested
against the Roman Catholic Church. Their new
branch of Christianity became known as
Protestantism. John Knox started the Protestant
Church of Scotland.
