The iPod is Doomed !

• Although Apples iPod is experiencing a great
  success its is claimed that it will fail within
  few years.
• Reason Apple is not creating an ecosystem that
  supports its innovations such as its competitors.

Apples (iPods) closed system

• Does not read Window version of digital music
  (WMA) which is very wide spread
• Users cant use subscription services such as
  Napster and Yahoos Music Unlimited
• No one can improve the software or hardware other
  than Apple. (Competitors are adding very advanced
  features to the music players)
• Many non-Apple devices cant use iTunes

• Although Apple is not integrating with software
  and music providers, they are applying ecosystem
  in a different way
• Apples iPod made deals with several big
  manufactures in several industries that can help
  the spreading of the iPod or offering accessories.

• iPod is now having special connections in several
  new cars, which when connected acts as primary
  player and integrates with the cars player.

• Some companies are doing special accessories for
  the product too

  over because they are becoming very powerful and
  combine the features of several devices, such as

• Internet access
• And much more
