In our short time together we are going to
highlightThree VOICES of the New Testament which
are
  • 1 The voice of John the Baptist
  • 2 The voice of Jesus Christ
  • 3 The voice of the first early Church
  • ALL 3 VOICES TAUGHT THE SAME METHOD
  • 1 REPENTANCE
    because sin separates us
    from God
  • 2 Water baptism
    for the remission of sins.
  • 3 The baptism of the Holy
Ghost The Spirit of Christ within us
  • We see the same method used in
    the Old Testament such as
  • IN THE DAYS OF
    NOAH AND THE ARK!

to
Noah was a Preacher of Righteousness
  • Gods plan of salvation is an open door to
    all!
  • 1Peter 3 Vs. 20b God waited in the days of
Noah, while the ark was a
  • preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were
    saved by water. Vs. 21,
  • The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also
    now save us (not the
  • putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the
    answer of a good conscience
  • toward God) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ
  • .
  • 2 Peter 25, Says, And spared not the old
    world, but saved
  • Noah the eighth person, a preacher of
    righteousness, bringing in the
  • flood upon the world of the ungodly. Peter
    asked, And if the righteous
  • scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and
    sinners appear. Also,
  • what shall the end be of them that
obey not the gospel of God? 1 Peter

A COMMON LIST OF BIBLICAL SINS
  • In Galatians 516 and 19, Says, Walk in the
Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the
  • Flesh. Now the works of the flesh are
    manifest, which are these
  • 1 Adultery, extra marital
    sex Read Leviticus 20 10-13,
  • 2 Fornication, sex before
    marriage Read Romans 1 24-32,
  • 3 Murder, includes
suicide and abortion Read Galatians 5 16-21,
  • 4 SAME SEX MARRIGE, Read Romans
    1 Vs. 25-28, Also, Leviticus 20 13,
  • TODAY, SIN IS NOW CALLED A LIFE STYLE AND
    MURDER IS CALLED A CHOICE!
  • We need a Christ like spirit as seen in St.
John 81-11, Heres the story as told.
  • The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman to
    Jesus and said, Master, this
  • woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
    Now Moses in the law
  • commanded us, that such should be stoned but
    what do you say?...Jesus said
  • unto them, He that is without sin among you,
let him first cast a stone at her.
  • Vs.9, And they which heard it, being CONVICTED
    OF THEIR OWN CONSCIENCE,
  • went out one by one,Vs.10, Jesus asked,
    woman, where are thine accusers?
  • hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man
Lord. and Jesus said unto her,
  • NEITHER DO I CONDEMN THEE
    GO AND SIN NO MORE!

Additional list of Biblical sins found in the New
and Old Testament.
  • JUDGEMENT DAY IS COMING
  • Romans 1 32, Who knowing the judgment of
    God,
  • That they which commit such things are
    worthy of Death,
  • Romans 6 23, For the wages of sin is death
but the gift of God is eternal life through
    Jesus Christ our Lord.
  • Romans 5 12,
  • Wherefore, as by one man (Adam) sin entered
    into the world,
  • and death by sin and so death passed on upon
    all men, for
  • that all have sinned
  • GODS
    REMEDY
  • Romans 6 17, Paul wrote, But God be thanked,
    that
  • you were the servants of sin, but you have obeyed
    from
  • the heart that form of doctrine which was
    delivered you.
  • Being made free from sin, you became the
    servants of
  • righteousness. POINT When we repent of our
    sins we are
  • no longer servants of sin, but a servant of
    righteousness!
  • GODS SIMPLE PLAN OF
    SALVATION
  • Acts 2 38,Repent, and be baptized everyone of
    you in the
  • NAME of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,
and you shall receive the gift of the Holy
    Ghost.
  • Malachi 3 8-9, Will a man rob God?..
  • Wherein have we robbed thee?
  • IN TITHES AND OFFERINGS.
  • Romans 1 29, Being filled with all
    unrighteousness, fornication, wicked-
  • ness, covetousness, maliciousness
  • Full of envy, murder, debate, whisperers,
    backbiters, despiteful, etc.

8, But the fearful, and un-
  • believing, and the abominable, and all liars,
shall have their part in hell
  • which is the second death.

10
OUR NEW LIFE IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD !
  • What is the kingdom of God? Paul wrote in
Romans 14 17, For the kingdom God is not
  • meat and drink but righteousness, peace, and joy
in the Holy Ghost. Verse 18, For he
  • that in these things serves Christ is acceptable
to God, and approved of men.
  • Jesus said in Luke 12 29-31, Seek not what you
shall eat, or what you shall drink, neither
  • be of doubtful mind. For all these things do the
nations of the world seek after and your
  • Father knows that you have need of these things.
But rather seek you the kingdom of God
  • And all these things shall be added unto
    you.
  • A GOOD ILLUSTATION TO THINK ABOUT
WHEN CONSIDERING THE KINGDOM OF GOD .

  • Jesus said, I am with you, but I shall be in
you. Its like taking a sandwich with you for
    lunch.
  • ITS WITH YOU, but not IN YOU until you get it
    on the inside.
  • THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS WITHIN YOU when you become
    Spirit filled.

  • HOW CAN I ?

11
What does it mean to be Spirit filled?
  • Jesus said, YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN!
  • How the Holy Spirit came in Acts 2 2-4,
  • On the day of Pentecost in Jerusalem.
  • In John 3 verse 5, Jesus said, Except a man
  • be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot
  • enter the kingdom of God. vs. 6 That which
  • is born of the flesh is flesh natural birth
  • And that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
  • Verse 7, Marvel not that I said unto you,
  • YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN
Jesus told how In John chapter 3 verse
    8,
  • Jesus said, The wind blows where it desires
  • and you hear the sound thereof, but cannot
  • tell where it comes from, and where it goes
  • SO IS EVERYONE THAT IS BORN OF THE SPIRIT!
  • And suddenly there came a sound from
  • Heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it
  • filled all the house where they were sitting.
  • And there appeared unto them cloven
  • tongues like as fire, and it sat upon each of
    them.
  • And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost,
  • and began to speak with other tongues,
  • as the Spirit gave them utterance.
  • THE NEW BIRTH IS CHRIST ABIDING
  • WITHIN US through the baptism of the
  • Holy Spirit!

12
THE MESSAGE
  • HERES THE ANSWER.
  • gt Acts 238, Then Peter said unto them, Repent
    , and
  • be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus
Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall
    receive
  • the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39, the promise is
    unto you
  • gtActs 814-17, Now when the apostles which were
at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received
    the word
  • of God, they sent unto them Peter and John
  • Who, when they came down, prayed for them, that
  • they might receive the Holy Ghost (For as yet he
    was
  • fallen upon none of them only they were baptized
in the name of the Lord Jesus.) Then laid they
    their hands
  • on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
  • gtActs 10 1-48 The door to the Gentiles
  • Is covered in the next slide in STORY
    form
  • gtActs 19 1-7, The apostle Paul opened
    conversation
  • With a question, Have you received the Holy
Ghost since you believed? most people
havent heard gtPaul preached to them the
    same message as taught
  • by the first early church in the beginning gt Acts
    238lt
  • ACTS CHAPTER 2 14-37,
  • Peter was chosen by Jesus Christ to
  • preach the first message to his church.
  • He ended his message by saying, This
  • Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we
  • are all witnesses Therefore let all the
house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath
    made that same JESUS,
  • whom you have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
    verse 32 and 36
  • 37, Now when they heard this, they
  • were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter
and to the rest of the apostles, QUESTION
Men and brethren, WHAT SHALL WE DO?
  • to be saved
  • WHAT WAS HIS ANSWER?

13
  • THE
    OPEN DOOR TO THE GENTILES
  • I love the story of Cornelius found in Acts
chapter 10 It took place 9 years later
  • after the birth of the first early church in the
upper room. see Acts chapter 2
  • Cornelius was a devout man, feared God,
    and prayed to God always.
  • Point 1 Any church today would welcome
Him in to worship with them!
  • An angel sent by God told him to go get the
Apostle Peter and he shall tell you
  • what to do. like us, he was doing all that he
knew to do, so he sent for Peter
  • Point 2 Cornelius KNEW that there was MORE for
    him, his family and friends.
  • I love what Cornelius said to Peter when he came
in verse 33, Now therefore are
  • we all here before God, to hear all things that
    are commanded thee of God.
  • Point 3 His heart was open to receive the
preaching of the word and be saved.
  • Peter said,God is no respecter of persons
But in EVERY NATION he that fears
  • Him, and works righteousness, is accepted with
    him.
  • While Peter preached the gospel, God poured out
the gift of the Holy Ghost. For
  • they heard them speak in tongues and
magnify God. And he commanded them to be
  • baptized in the name of the Lord. Jesus
    Christ See Acts 10 44-48
  • Point 4 In Acts 1115, The church in
Jerusalem questioned Peter why he went
  • unto the Gentiles? Peter answered, God
sent me through a vision, And as I began
  • to speak the Holy Ghost fell on them, as
    on us at the beginning.

14
I have set before you an open door!
Revelations 38, Point
Just like Noah stood at the open door
Like wise, Jesus Christ stands at an open door
inviting us in. We have a choice to go in and
see all God has prepare for those that LOVE Him.
John 3 16 says, FOR GOD SO LOVED THE
WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON We
know that God loves and cares for us, the
question Is, HOW MUCH DO WE LOVE GOD? Jesus
said, If you love me, keep my commandments.
John 1415, we show our love through our
obedience OPEN YOUR HEART WHEN YOU OPEN
YOUR BIBLE .

15
IN
CONCLUSION The apostle Paul wrote in Romans 10
13-17, For whosoever shall call on the NAME
of the Lord shall be saved. then he asks an
important question How then shall they call
on him in whom they have not heard? And how
shall they hear without a preacher? And how
shall they preach, except they be sent? As it
is written, How beautiful are the feet of them
that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad
tidings of good things! But they have not all
OBEYED THE GOSPEL. For Isaiah said, Lord, Who
hath believed our report? So then FAITH
COMETH BY HEARING, AND HEARING BY the WORD OF
GOD. Paul wrote to his son Timothy in the
Lord I have fought a good fight, I have
finished my course, I have KEPTED THE FAITH 2
Timothy 4 7,

LETS ALL
BECOME FAITH KEEPERS !
